A fast growing vine, Alice Du Pont Mandevilla easily grows in full sun and will quickly cover arbors, trellises, fences, or any other structure. It can be grown in decorative pots and hanging baskets. It can be grown by itself or in combination with other flowers and foliage in container gardens.

This tropical vine can be grown for one season as an annual in St Louis, or can be over wintered inside. It will not tolerate a frost.
Mandevilla work well planted in beds, in containers around pools and on patios, and in large landscapes. It grows 12-15′ tall, but can be pruned to a smaller size.
Plant Mandevilla in full sun to part shade. Mandevilla bloom best in sunny locations, in rich soil, and with consistent water and fertilizer. Fertilize with any all purpose fertilizer. To over winter indoors, before the first frost plants should be cut back and brought indoors. Treat as a houseplant over the winter months. Plants can be moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed.
