Sedum – Boogi Woogi Stonecrop
A fantastic, low care Sedum, Boogie Woogi carpets the garden with pretty green leaves edged in contrasting creamy white. Its vibrant foliage forms a 6-8″ tall and 18″ wide dense mat of color. In early to mid-summer sunny yellow flowers appear. Deer and bunnies don’t care for it. Butterflies and other pollinators always visit its nectar rich blossoms.
This low growing Sedum forms a solid mat of foliage which is ideal for covering slopes. Its low water needs make it the perfect plant for hot spots in sunny dry areas, or anywhere you don’t want to drag the house. It works beautifully tucked in rock gardens and perennial beds, as an edging plant, along walkways, and with other succulents in containers. Like all Sedum, it thrives on neglect, showing its best colors when grown in dry areas in full sun.
Plant in average, well-draining soil in full sun to part shade.
