Rhus Gro Low Fragrant Sumac
Beautiful glossy green leaves turn brilliant scarlet red in fall on Gro Low Sumac, Rhus aromatica. Growing only 1-2′, but 8-10′ wide, this easy-going shrub is perfect as a large ground cover for areas with poor soils or where erosion control is needed. Extremely tough and tolerant and poor dry soils. A Missouri Botanical Gardens’ Plant of Merit.
Small yellow flowers in late spring are followed by red berries.
