Liatris – Kobold Blazing Star
A long time popular perennial, Kobold Blazing Star, Liatris, brings all the spendor of the Missouri native Liatris spicata, but in a smaller version. From low tufts of grass-like foliage comes tall rosy-lavender flower wands that open from top to bottom, appearing to glow at the tips. Its uniquely fuzzy flowers make stunning cut flowers. One of the top plants to attract butterflies. Narrow, opposite leaves are up to 10 inches long at the base of the plant and decrease in length up the stems. Deer resistant.
