When coming up with a name for this Cranesbill, Geranium, Intense was the only name that could be selected. Intense Cranesbill’s flowers are so brilliant pink, they almost hurt your eyes. And so many of them! An exuberant bloomer, its flashy blossoms cover the foliage for a considerable long time. This showy plant makes an ideal choice to replace annuals. No reason to plant every year now that you can plant just once with the very long lived Intense. Other outstanding attributes: its mat forming evergreen fragrant foliage keeps out all weeds; it matures to an attractive mound that looks great all year; bunnies and deer won’t touch it. In fall and winter, the beautiful deeply dissected leaves show tints of red.

Use Intense Geranium in cottage, perennial and pollinator gardens. It works fantastic as a wow focal or draw-dropping specimen. Intense Geranium makes an ideal evergreen groundcover. Although it can be grown in full sun, Intense benefits from protection from the hot afternoon sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade, or filtered light is ideal. Not to be confused with annual Geraniums, these Geraniums come back year after year.

Growing instructions: Plant in full sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. For best results keep well watered until plants are established, when plants and setting up buds and blooming, and during dry spells.
