Ceratostigma, Leadwort
A crowd favorite, Plumbago, Cerastigma, is adored for its long-blooming, intense, sky blue flowers that tops low growing foliage from midsummer until frost. The foliage is green during the summer, then turns a beautiful bronzy-red in fall. An excellent ground cover for sun to part shade areas.
One of the last perennials to emerge in spring.
Plant in full sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with organic matter. Although drought tolerant once established, for best blooming keep well watered during dry periods.
