Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, Hardy Plumbago
A crowd favorite, Hardy Plumbago, Cerastigma, is adored for its long-blooming, intense, sky-blue flowers that top low-growing foliage from midsummer until frost. The foliage is green during the summer, then turns a beautiful bronzy red in fall. Hardy Plumbago forms into an excellent ground cover for sun to part shade areas.
Chosen as a Plant of Merit by the Missouri Botanical Gardens for its exceptional ornamental value and ease of care. Also awarded the Royal Horticultural Societies Award of Garden Merit.
One of the last perennials to emerge in spring.
Plant in full sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with organic matter. Although drought tolerant once established, for best blooming keep well watered during dry periods.
6″ pot
