Convallaria – Prolificans Lily Of The Valley
Double highly scented bells.
If you adore Lily of the Valley, you’re in for a real treat with Prolificans Lily of the Valley, Convallaria. Prolificans brings us the classic Lily of the Valley flower but with double the petals! Its large, double pearly white, highly scented dangling bells appear in spring. Its thick, sword shaped leaves create a mat of foliage.
Prolificans makes an ideal shade groundcover that won’t climb trees like other (talking to you Ivy) shade lovers. A most wonderful scented cut flower, you’ll be enticed to cut a few to bring in the house. It easily grows in shade to part shade in average soil. Plants grow 4-6″ tall and 12″ wide. Rabbit resistant.
Growing instructions: Plant in shade to part shade in average soil. Keep well watered until established, when plants are setting up blooms and blooming, and during dry spells.
