Hydrangea Tara, Oakleaf Hydrangea
A whole bouquet in one stalk, ‘Tara’ Oakleaf Hydrangea creates bountiful displays of gorgeous blossoms. Large plump panicles have double the amount of flowers as a typical Oakleaf Hydrangea plume. Romantic white flowers bloom in late spring on sturdy stems. Flowers have a lovely scent and are attractive to bees and other pollinators. Flowers dry dusty pink. Large oak leaf shaped leaves create a dense showy shrub even when not blooming. In fall leaves turn brilliant shades of aubergine and crimson. Winter exposes exfoliated bark and interesting form.
Plant Oakleaf Hydrangeas in part to full shade. Will tolerate full sun if given enough water. Oakleaf Hydrangeas prefer regular moisture and fertile soils.
