Extremely shaggy brown bark reveals almost pure white inner bark that rivals the white bark of Birch trees that you find in alpine locations. Many pretty green leaves provide a perfect dappled shade for patios and shade gardens. Host plant to over 400 types of butterflies and moths, River Birch is a must-have for the butterfly lover. Also goes by the name Cully.

Plant River Birch in moist to wet soils in sun to part shade. Naturally found around rivers making River Birch is tolerant of extremely wet conditions, but is also tolerant of average, well-drained soils and heavy clay.
