Penstemon cobaea – Foxglove Beardtongue
One of the showiest displays of all Missouri native perennials, Foxglove Beardtongue, Penstemon cobaea, is a stunning addition to any sun garden. Large 2″ usually violet bells adorn tall 30″ erect stalks in spring. Flower color can vary from white to light purple to dark violet. Plants prefer a well drained area and will rot it too wet.

Plant in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter.
