Betula – Shiloh Splash River Birch Tree
SKU: n/a.With extremely showy variegated foliage and an upright narrow form, Shiloh Splash River Birch has many exciting uses in the garden. Bright green leaves with thick creamy edges look great all season long. Shaggy, exfoliated bark is gorgeous in winter. It grows 25-30′ tall but is only 12-15′ wide. It is excellent in the middle of gardens or used as a narrow accent in the yard.
Host plant to the Luna Moth and Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly.
Plant River Birch in moist to wet soils in part shade. Naturally found around rivers, River Birch is tolerant of extremely wet conditions, but is also tolerant of average, well-drained soils and heavy clay.
