Leucanthemum – Lancaster Betsy Shasta Daisy
Huge flowers
Betsy Shasta Daisy, Leucanthemum, boasts having one of the largest size blossoms of all Shasta Daisies. Its flowers can grow to a whopping 5-7″ across! Its perfectly formed blossoms are loaded with pure white petals surrounding a bright yellow center. Its delightful flowers are long lasting in the garden and the vase. Betsy Daisy’s fantastic dense, upright mound of foliage always looks good. Great habit and vigor. Don’t be surprised when you see beautiful butterflies and colorful moths visiting these treasures. Deer and rabbit resistant.
Betsy blends in beautifully with other perennials in containers, borders, mass plantings, cottage, cutting, and pollinator gardens. ‘Betsy’ Daisy’s cheerful blossoms appear all summer into fall.
Shasta Daisies are easy to grow in average soil and full sun to part shade. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Shasta Daisies require good drainage. Shasta Daisies should be divided every two to three years. Discard declining, old growth.
