VOTED #1 BEST GARDEN CENTER
One of our top perennials, Daisy Mae Japanese Aster, Kalimeris integrifolia, gives us everything we want in an easy-care plant. Tons of pure white daisies with yellow centers appear all summer. It loves heat and humidity, doesn’t mind drought, and thrives in sun to part shade. The compact mound of foliage looks great all summer, even if it missed a few waterings. A fantastic landscape plant, all it needs is an occasional good squirt in dry weather and to be cut back once a year in fall. Otherwise, it completely takes care of itself.
A top choice for the butterfly, cottage, pollinator, or naturalized areas. Grows about 2′ tall and wide. Try matching it with its cousin Blue Star Kalimeris; they make a dynamite combo. Highly recommended variety.
Plant in full sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost. Keep well watered as the plant is getting established when the plant is setting up buds and blooming, and during dry spells.
