Like a refreshing treat on a hot summer day, Butter Pecan Coneflower, Echincea, brings buttery-yellow yellow flowers with a unique form to the garden. The large 4″ blossoms are adorned with multiple petals and appear over a long time mid to late summer.

A member of the outstanding Color Coded series of Echinacea. Varieties in this series have prolific floral production seated atop dense rosettes of foliage. Broad, horizontal ray petals maximize flower size. Plants are low, wide, and well-branched allowing for use along the front of the border. Growing instructions: Plant in full sun, at least 6 hours of sun a day, in well-draining soil. Add organic matter to the soil when planting. For best flowering, keep well watered, especially when plants are setting up bloom and blooming. Let plants dry out between watering. An occasional squirt of liquid fertilizer will improve flowering. Deadheading spent blossoms will encourage more flowers.
