The showy foliage creates a stunning backdrop in a mixed garden or may be used as an easy-care hedge. A light crop of cherry red flowers appear in late spring, but the foliage – coupled with an irresistibly neat habit – are the primary reasons to grow this beauty.
Plant Weigela in sunny spots in moist, well-drained soils. Can tolerate some light shade, but for the best flower production plant in full sun.
