Nepeta – Walker’s Low, Catmint
Major Award Winner
Walker’s Low Catmint, Nepeta, was named 2007 Perennial Plant of the Year by the Perennial Plant Association and a Plant of Merit by the Missouri Botanical Gardens for its outstanding qualities. Masses of lavender blue flowers are produced in summer on long, arching stems. Grows 2-3’ tall. An excellent low growing plant that is tolerant of considerable drought, Walker’s Low is also rabbit and deer resistant. Flourishes in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Trim back spent flowers to encourage more blooms. Long lived perennial.
