Onion White Snowball
Enjoy fresh flavorful produce from your own garden with White Snowball Onion. It features a sweeter, less pungent taste than typical onions. A top choice for Mexican cooking, its ideal sauteed for fajitas. Fantastic either raw or cooked, you’ll love it for salads, burgers, fried onion rings, or any recipe you want a sweet onion flavor. Easy to grow in any sunny spot. Onions are ready to harvest about 80 days after planting.
Plant in full sun in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. Plant about 6″ apart. Onions can be planted in early spring, 4-6 weeks before last frost date. Last frost date in St. Louis is about April 15. Fertilize plants and keep well watered. Harvest the onions when their foliage has turned brown.
