A long-time favorite perennial, Zebrina Mallow, Malva, delights us with colorful bowl-shaped pink flowers with striking raspberry-purple veins that give a pinwheel effect. Flowers are produced in abundance for months from from early summer until frost. A robust grower, plants mature to shrubby mounds. It grows in sun to shade and in most soils. Zebrina Mallow stands up to heat, humidity, and drought. Though it is sometimes short-lived, Malva will self-seed readily assuring years of blooms.
