SKU: n/a.$49.99
Sun, shade, wet, dry, who cares? Short N’ Sweet Sweetspire grows anywhere and is fragrant to boot!
A dwarf version of our beloved native shrub, Short N’ Sweet delights with fuzzy white, highly fragrant flowers. In fall, the glossy foliage turns an intense burgundy red. Perfect for just about any location in the garden as it will grow in sun, shade, wet or dry soils.
Use Short N’ Sweet Sweetspire in perennial and garden beds. It’s useful as a low-growing hedge, for foundation landscapes, erosion control, as a specimen, or anywhere you need a low-maintenance plant. It also goes by the name Merlot for its vibrant red fall foliage.
Plant Shortn N’ Sweet Sweetspire just about anywhere – growing well in sun and shade and tolerant of most soil conditions, including consistently moist, we call Sweetspire shrubs our “problem solvers” at Sugar Creek. Keep well watered for the first couple of years to ensure healthy root development.
