Hydrangea Tiny Quick Fire, Panicle Hydrangea
SKU: n/a.Cute as the dickens, Tiny Quick Fire Panicle Hydrangea, Hydrangea paniculata is one of the smallest Panicle Hydranges available. In early summer large white flowers appear on teeny plants. As flowers mature they change color to a pretty red-pink that will persist into fall as long as the plants are kept well watered. Perfect for the front of the border or for mass planting in drifts.
Plant in full sun to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost. Apply a starter fertilizer or an all-purpose fertilizer when planting, we use Starter with Bio Tone Organic Fertilizer. Fertilizing consistently will give you the best results. Stop fertilizing in late summer. Although fancy pruning is not needed, Panicle Hydrangeas bloom on the current season’s growth. They can be pruned in late winter to early spring. You can cut them back to the ground, or if you want taller plants cut them back about 1/3 to 1/2 in size.
