Deutzia Yuki Cherry Blossom
Add a shower of color to your garden with Yuki Cherry Blossom Deutzia, an easy growing delight. Gorgeous star-shaped pink flowers carpet the landscape in spring. When the flowers have faded, this plant continues to look fantastic because of its neat, mounded habit and burgundy-purple fall color. This tough, adaptable plant makes an excellent ground cover, especially on the tough spot of a sunny slope. Growth is strong, but compact to create a wonderful small shrub that is equally at home in the shrub border as it is in a perennial one. Perfect for edging, as a ground cover, or mass plantings. Hummingbirds love it, deer leave it alone. Only grows 1-2′ tall and wide.
Growing instructions: plant in sun to part shade, best flowering will be in full sun – 6 hours or more sun a day. Pruning is seldom needed, but may be shaped immediately after flowering. Fertilizer in the spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
