Caryopteris – Dark Knight Bluebeard
With jewel-toned flowers and drought tolerance, Dark Knight Bluebeard, Caryopteris, is a must-have for the summer garden. Spikes of intense blue flowers cover Dark Knight summer through fall. The flowers are loved by bees and other pollinators – be delighted as you watch them dance around this nectar-rich petite plant. The silvery-green whispy foliage adds to its appeal. Dark Knight Bluebird matures to a compact shrub 2′ tall and wide. Deer, rabbit, and drought resistant.
Plant in full sun in well-draining soil. Shear down to the ground in winter or spring to give your Bluebeard the best form.
