Aronia – Low Scape Mound Chokeberry
SKU: n/a.$54.99
As cute as a button yet tough as nails, Low Scape Mound Chokeberry, Aronia is an innovative dwarf selection of the Missouri native shrub that may be the closest thing yet to a perfect landscape plant. Adaptable to almost any soil, this versatile little shrub offers dark, glossy foliage, loads of white flowers in spring, black summer fruit, and intense red foliage in autumn. It is ideal for low-maintenance mass plantings with multi-season appeal. The flurry of white flowers is loved by pollinators, and songbirds will eat the berries in winter.
Petite in size, growing about 2′ tall and wide, Low Scape Mound is perfect for smaller landscapes, hedges, or plantings in the front of the garden. Its tolerance to wide soil conditions, including boggy, makes it an ideal choice for rain gardening or planting where drainage can be an issue. A choice plant for erosion control.
Plant Chokeberry in sun to part shade light exposures. For best berry production plant in full sun. Water regularly for the first few years for best establishment practices.
