Agastache – Morello Hummingbird Mint
Hummingbirds can’t resist the large dense spikes of bright raspberry pink flowers of Morello Hummingbird Mint, Agastache. The gorgeous blossoms appear from spring well into fall. Ideal for hummingbird and butterfly gardens, and cutting and perennial gardens. They look beautiful in mixed containers. Hummingbird Mint’s foliage has a spicy fragrance.
Although technically a perennial, we treat Morello Hummingbird Mint as an annual or short-lived perennial.
Plant in full sun in soil that has been amended with organic matter. Soil should drain well, Agastache does not like “wet feet.” Although very drought tolerant, give it good soakings during dry spells and when plants are setting up buds and blooming
