Rhus Gro Low Fragrant Sumac
SKU: n/a.Beautiful glossy green leaves turn brilliant scarlet red in fall on Gro Low Sumac, Rhus aromatica. Growing only 1-2′, but 8-10′ wide, this easy-going shrub is perfect as a large ground cover for areas with poor soils or where erosion control is needed. Extremely tough and tolerant and poor dry soils. Perfect choice for slopes or other dry areas that can be difficult to mow. A Missouri Botanical Gardens’ Plant of Merit.
Small yellow flowers in late spring are followed by red berries.
Plant in sun to part shade. Tolerant of most soils except ones with poor drainage.
