Polemonium reptans – Jacob’s Ladder
A delightful Missouri native perennial, Polemonium reptans, Jacob’s Ladder, is home in shady woodlands. Charming light blue, bell-shaped flowers appear on sprawling plants in spring. Its fascinating oval leaflets are arranged on its stems like the rungs of a ladder. In ideal conditions, plants will self-seed. It works well in partially shaded areas of perennial borders, naturalized areas, woodland gardens, or native plant gardens. Makes a fantastic ground cover for shady areas.
Plant in rich soil in a shady location. It prefers moist soil.
