Paperwhites will begin blooming 4-6 weeks after planting. Their flowers will last about 2 weeks. Plant in two week intervals to keep displays going in winter. For a showy looking plant at least 3 bulbs together. Bulbs may be planted tightly to point where they’re almost touching. Bulbs are about 1 1/2″ diameter.

When planting in potting soil, bury the bulbs so the pointed side is up. Only cove the rounded part of the bulb, leaving the neck exposed.

If using water and pebbles. Place the bulbs in the pebbles just deep enough so that the bulbs won’t tip over, about 1/4″. Fill the base with water so that the water is just kissing the bottom of the bulb.

Paperwhites will grow to 16-18″ tall. To stunt their growth and have a more compact plant make a solution of 5% alcohol. Use a hard liquor like vodka or gin, avoid beer and wine as they are too sugary.
