Quick to harvest and easy to prepare, Bopak Pak Choy features bunches of crisp white stalks with tender green leaves.  Perfect for a single serving oriental-style side dish, quickly sautéed or roasted. Also great for stir-fry and delicious raw. Also known as Bok Choy and Chinese white cabbage. Best grown in cool weather, Pak Choy is a great addition to both Spring and Fall gardens.

Plant in full sun. In containers plan in good potting soil, in the ground amend soil with compost or other organic matter. Fertilize with an organic, we use Garden-Tone or Starter with Bio-Tone.

Bopak Pak Choy All American Selection Winner

In the history of AAS, Bopak is the first Pak Choi to become an AAS Winner. Bopak matures about 5 days earlier than other varieties when harvested as a baby, Pak Choi but it can be grown to a full-size head as well.  The tender leaves and crisp sweet stalks are a tasty addition to Oriental recipes or eaten raw. Swap stalks for celery sticks, add to soups and stews, or grill on the barbecue. Plant every couple of weeks for successive harvests in spring and fall; Bopak retains it’s nice flavor even in warmer weather. The compact, upright, dense plant habit allows for close garden spacing.  This classy specimen is great for home gardeners with limited space and makes an attractive “thriller” for patio pots and containers.
