Miscanthus Morning Light Maiden Grass
An especially refined and elegant ornamental grass Morning Light Maiden Grass, Miscanthus, glows when backlit by the morning or evening sun. 5-6′ tall fine leaf blades are green with clean, very thin, white margins that give the plant a silvery cast when viewed from a distance. It is prized for its rounded habit that never flops. In fall, long, coppery-red tassels mature to showy plumes of creamy white that last well into winter.
Plant in full sun to light shade. Cut off the spent leaves close to the ground in late winter or early spring.
