Malva Zebrina – Mallow
A long time favorite perennial, Zebrina Mallow, Malva, delights us with colorful bowl-shaped pink flowers with striking raspberry-purple veins that give a pinwheel effect. Flowers are produced in abundance for months from from early summer until frost. A robust grower, plants mature to shrubby mounds. Zebrina Mallow stands up to heat, humidity and drought. Though it is sometimes short-lived, Malva will self-seed readily assuring years of blooms.
Mallow makes a wonderful addition to cottage, pollinator and cutting gardens. It easily grow in sun or shade.
Plant Zebrina Mallow in full sun to part shade to shady areas. An easy to grow perennial, it is not fussy about soil, although rich soil will give best results. Although it tolerates drought, for profuse flowering keep well watered during dry periods.
