Hydrangea Big Band – Reblooming Hydrangea
SKU: n/a.Let’s Dance Big Band Hydrangea delights with extra large flowers that consistently flower every year no matter how low our winter temps drop. It not only conserves its old wood buds in the face of weather challenges but also continues creating new flowers all season. Jewel-toned flowers of pink, purple, or blue bloom in spring and again in summer and fall. It’s an excellent rebloomer, with the ability to create new wood flower buds more rapidly than others in its class.
Plant in shade to part shade, morning sun with afternoon shade or dappled light is best. Add compost or other organic matter to the soil when planting. Use a starter fertilizer like Espoma Bio-tone Starter to get your plants off to a quick start. Keep well watered when establishing plant, and when the plant is setting up buds and blooming, and during dry spells. Flowers will most likely be pink in the St. Louis area unless soil is amended with a soil acidifier like Espoma Soil Acidifier.
