While regal looking, Krimson Princess Hoya is a plant for the people! Thick waxy leaves emerge bright cherry red before turning pink then green and white. Leaves grow on about 2′ long vining stalks that can easily be trained on a trellis or left to cascade over a pot. Plant in well-draining, good potting soil. Fertilize plants occasionally when they are actively growing, usually April through August, following the fertilizer manufacturer’s directions. Let plants fully dry out between watering. Plants prefer warm temperatures and should not be moved outdoors until night temperatures are at least 60 degrees or more. Keep in a bright window or where it will get a good amount of light during the day. Tolerant of bright indirect light or filtered light, but will not bloom.
