Forsythia Show Off Sugar Baby
Get your garden going with a bang with Show Off Sugar Baby Forsythia! Golden yellow flowers bloom up and down this itsy shrub before leafing out for the season. Unlike other varieties, it abundantly blooms from base to tip – no bald spots. Growing only 18-30″ tall Show Off Sugar Baby provides excellent early spring color in a teeny-tiny package. A great cut flower, snip stems as flowers begin to open so they may bloom in the vase.
Plant Forsythia in full to part sun locations. Add compost or other organic matter to the soil when planting. Use a starter fertilizer like Espoma Bio-tone Starter to get your plants off to a quick start. Keep well watered when establishing plants. If any pruning needs to be done, cut back right after the flowering is over.
