Adorable small eggplants are produced early and often on Patio Baby Eggplant. One of the earliest Eggplants to produce, expect to start harvesting about 45 days after planting. Harvest when fruits are about 2-3″ in length for best flavor. Delicious baked, roasted or sauteed.

Velvety green leaves and pretty purple star-shaped flowers add ornamental value to this already great plant. Its small stature and good form make Patio Baby perfect for containers where it’s pretty fruit, flowers and leaves can be seen. Great mixed in containers with annuals or herbs, for a showy and culinary display.

Winner of the All-American Selections top award. Designated a Missouri Botanical Gardens Plant of Merit for its outstanding qualities.

A gardener commented on the All-American Selection site: “This plant is amazing. It keeps churning out flowers and fruit. It’s very low maintenance and has minimal needs. I grew some in containers and put some extras in the ground as an experiment. The ones in my ground space have put out at least 50-3 inch Eggplants! I can’t keep up! And they don’t get bitter at all! Grow some in your containers, but also put some in the flowerbed. With 5-6 hours of sun they do wonderful!”

Plant Eggplants in well-drained sunny locations after temperatures stay consistently above 50 degrees.
