Eryngium yuccifolium – Rattlesnake Master
A fascinating Missouri native perennial, Eryngium yuccifolium, Rattlesnake Master, adds architectural interest to the sunny garden. Dramatic sword-shaped leaves give rise to stiff stems topped with 1″ greenish-white thistle-like flowers with pointy bracts. Easy to grow in dry, sandy soils. Its deep root makes it drought tolerant but difficult to move. An ideal plant for hot, dry areas.
Use wherever you need to put an outstanding accent. Its flowers dry on the plants, giving months of interest.
Plant in full sun.
