Echinacea – Sunny Days Ruby Coneflower
With its prolific giant pompoms of deep claret-ruby, Sunny Days Ruby Coneflower, Echinacea, has proven to be an overachiever in all areas: performance, color, and flower size. One of the top red double Coneflowers available, SunnyDays Ruby brings hordes of flowers in summer and fall. Each flower lasts for weeks. It’s remarkable in so many ways. It’s the perfect pot plant! It’s the perfect garden plant!
Sunny Days Ruby Coneflower makes a fantastic addition to perennial beds, cut flower, cottage and pollinator gardens. It makes a fantastic showy specimen. Its oversized flowers are held high on sturdy stems making them a top choice for cut flowers.
Growing instructions: Plant in full sun, at least 6 hours of sun a day, in well-draining soil. Add organic matter to the soil when planting. For best flowering, keep well watered, especially when plants are setting up bloom and blooming. Let plants dry out between watering. An occasional squirt of liquid fertilizer will improve flowering. Deadheading spent blossoms will encourage more flowers.
