Dianthus – Firewitch Pinks
SKU: n/a.$13.99
Firewitch Pink, Dianthus, features spicy-clove scented flowers that face upward for a tremendous show. Masses of electric magenta-pink flowers top deep blue evergreen foliage. After the first flush of blossoms, cut back spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering in late summer into fall. Winner of the prestigious 2006 Perennial Plant of the Year award, and considered by many to be one of the finest Dianthus available.
You can expect your perennial garden to be loaded with vibrant color for years as this premium performing variety reliably returns year after year. Ideal for containers, mass plantings, cottage gardens, or anywhere you want vibrant color. They are evergreen, drought tolerant, and deer resistant. Attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Although they bloom well on their own, fertilize for maximum blooming.
Firewitch Pinks, Dianthus, won the prestigious award the 2004 Perennial of the Year by the Perennial Plant Association. The Perennial Plant Association is a group composed of growers, retailers, landscape designers and contractors, educators, and others who are professionally involved in the herbaceous perennial industry.
