Growing instructions: Plant in shade to part sun. When planting, amend the soil with compost. Plant slightly higher than the soil level of the container and apply 1-2″ of mulch to help retain moisture. Boxwoods prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil. Prune if a particular shape is desired or to remove any winter tip burn or other damage. Boxwoods may be pruned after spring frost danger has passed, typically around mid-April in St. Louis. Keep well watered when establishing the plant. Even though it tolerates drought, Boxwood benefits from a good soaking during prolonged dry weather. Few disease or pest issues when planted and cared for properly. No spraying is necessary!
