Brunnera – Alexander’s Great Siberian Bugloss
SKU: n/a.Alexander’s Great Siberian Bugloss, Brunnera, features large foliage fit for a king. Its remarkable large leaves have silver foliage enhanced by deep green veins with contrasting green edges. Considerably larger than other varieties, it grows into a showy 28″ wide mound about 15″ tall. In early spring, baby blue, forget-me-not-type blossoms are held in clusters above the foliage.
We treasure Brunnera for their delightful flowers, fantastic foliage, and shade tolerance. They make a showy ground cover, brighten dark corners, look lovely with woodland plants, and mix beautifully with other shade lovers in containers. Hardy perennial.
Plant in soil that has been amended with organic matter in part shade locations. Prefers moist soil but is tolerant of many conditions. Also known as Alkanet.
