Asparagus Mary Washington
Enjoy delicious fresh vegetables from your own garden with Mary Washington Asparagus. A long-time favorite variety, it produces edible shoots or spears which may be harvested in mid to late spring. Plants are male or female. Males do not produce flowers and fruit and typically produce better crop yields. Plants mature to large towering ferns in the summer and then die off after frost and are dormant during the winter. Female plants produce red berries in late summer. Long-lived perennial plants.
