Ajuga – Golden Glow Bugleweed
Perfect in the ground or in containers, ‘Golden Glow’ Bugleweed, Ajuga stuns with its multicolored leaves. In the ground ‘Golden Glow’ will spread into a dense weed smothering mat about 12″ wide. In a container it will trail down the side creating a choice accent for shade containers. Small blue flower spikes that are loved by bees appear in spring. In cooler weather the creamy yellow and green leaves will take on rose pink tones.
Excellent choice for fall containers as its evergreen foliage looks fabulous well into winter. Prefers adequate moisture, but is drought tolerant once established. 6″ in flower. Rabbits don’t touch it!
Plant in shade to part shade in soil that has been amended with compost or other organic matter. Adding a starter fertilizer at planting will encourage fast root growth.
