Enjoy evergreen dark purple to black foliage on Fierce Falcon Bugleweed, Ajuga. Rich, shiny foliage is deeply puckered, creating a quilted appearance. In spring, cobalt blue flowers contrast spectacularly against the deep foliage. A vigorous ground cover, Fierce Falcon grows into a dense low mat in shady locations. It can also be planted into a container for a dramatic spilling display.  Prefers adequate moisture, but is drought tolerant once established. 4″ tall, 6-8″ in flower. Deer and rabbits don’t touch it! A member of the outstanding Feathered Friends series of Bugleweed.

Plant in shade to part shade in soil that has been amended with organic matter. An application of fertilizer is beneficial. Keep well watered until established. Although tough plants and drought tolerant, for best blooming, keep consistently watered.
