Ajuga – Catlin’s Giant Bugleweed
SKU: n/a.Catlin’s Giant Ajuga is a fantastic ground cover, featuring bronzy-green foliage and true blue flowers that pop up in spring. It prefers protection from the hot afternoon sun and even does well in deep shade. It is a great plant to use where grass will not grow. Excellent as a low-growing ground cover or as a contrasting addition to pots. It prefers adequate moisture but is drought-tolerant once established. 6-8″ in flower. Rabbits don’t touch it!
Plant in shade to part shade in soil that has been amended with organic matter. An application of fertilizer is beneficial. Keep well watered until established. Although tough plants and drought tolerant, for best blooming keep consistently watered.
