Agastache – Blue Boa Hummingbird Mint
With huge, over 6″ tall flowers, Blue Boa Humminbird Mint, Agastache, could be the largest of all flowers in its genus. The luxurious deep violet-blue flower plumes are held over emerald green foliage. The flower spikes are long, wide, and extremely showy. Extremely long blooming, expect flowers for over 4 months. Drought tolerant once established and attracts hummingbirds as well as butterflies.
Ideal for pollinator, cutting and perennial gardens, beautiful in mixed containers.
Plant in full sun in soil that has been amended with organic matter. Soil should drain well, Agastache does not like “wet feet.” Although very drought tolerant, give it good soakings during dry spells and when plants are setting up buds and blooming.
