Wisteria – Summer Cascade American Wisteria
Long showy panicles create a stunning display on Summer Cascade American Wisteria. In late spring sweetly fragrant lavender flowers bloom in long dangling panicles covering this vining plant. Beloved by butterflies, bees, and other pollinators this showy vine is filled with buzzing activity when blooming. Will lightly rebloom throughout the summer if kept well watered and fertilized. More well-behaved than the Asian varieties, Summer Casacade maxes out at about 15-20′ tall. Perfect for vining around arbors, pergolas or other large structures. Can be trained into a small tree. Its beautiful blossoms are spectacular cut.
Plant Wisteria in full sun in moist well-drained soil with plenty of organic matter. Trim after flowering is complete. Fertilize in early spring
