Weigela Very Fine Wine
Very Fine Wine Weigela is a deciduous perennial shrub with colorful foliage and flowers in a compact size. In spring, tons of tubular rosy-pink flowers appear. Its gorgeous dark purple foliage brings rich, bold color all season. Only growing about 2′ tall and wide, it makes an excellent choice for small areas and low hedges. It is a vigorous, strong grower.
Use Very Fine Wine Weigela in landscape and foundation plantings. It makes a striking specimen. Plant it in groups or masses in beds and borders for a stunning sight.
Plant Weigela in sunny spots in moist, well-drained soils. It can tolerate some light shade, but for best flower production, plant in full sun. Attractive to hummingbirds and disliked by deer and rabbits.
