If you love adorable, Little Lamb Lambs Ear, Stachys, is as cute as you can get. This fuzzy silver jewel is like its big siblings but in a teeny-tiny package. Its velvety, can’t keep your hands off leaves carpet the ground, growing only 2-5″ tall x 12-15″ wide. It makes an ideal ground cover and an edging plant. It adds a luxurious element to mixed containers.
Use Little Lamb Lambs Ear in perennial and cottage gardens. It looks great in informal gardens and formal beds. Its beautiful foliage sets off everything around it. Low-maintenance and easy to grow, it resists rabbits, deer, drought, dry soil, shallow rocky soil, Black Walnut trees, and air pollution.
Plant in full sun to part shade in average to rich soil. Plants will benefit from a little shade during the hottest part of the day. Although drought tolerant, for best results, water during dry spells.
