Sambucus – Lemony Lace Elderberry
SKU: n/a.An exotic-looking plant that’s surprisingly hardy and easy to grow!
Lemony Lace Elderberry, Sambucus, offers finely dissected foliage but in a cheery gold color to light up your landscape. This cultivar of the Missouri native produces big clusters of white flowers in early spring before the foliage emerges, then bright yellow leaves take over, edged in red. As the foliage ages, it turns an attractive chartreuse.
A People’s Choice Award winner at the 2014 Farwest Horticulture Trade Show, Lemony Lace Sambucus also won a Green Thumb Award from the Direct Gardening Association.
Plant Elderberry in sun to part shade locations in avert to wet soils. Tolerant of a wide range of soils, but prefers moist to wet locations.
