Polygonatum biflorum var commutatum – Solomon’s Seal
SKU: n/a.A Missouri and Illinois native woodland perennial, Solomon’s Seal, Polygonatum biflorum var commutatum, adds elegance to shade gardens with its graceful, arching stems. Dangling greenish-yellow flowers are followed by showy blue-black berries in fall. An excellent woodland plant whose vertical stems contrast nicely against the rounded shapes of Hosta and ferns. Prefers moist, woodland-type soil. Works well among trees and shrubs. Fabulous in flower arrangements. It also can be found as Polygonatum biflorum and Polygonatum commutatum.
Plant in shade to part shade in soil that has been amended with organic matter.
