Polemonium – Heaven Scent Jacob’s Ladder
Romantics, beware: you’ll be smitten with Heaven Scent Jacob’s Ladder, Polemonium, a lovely shade-loving perennial with the most delightful perfume. Its pearl blue, bell-shaped flowers in spring and ferny foliage add to its enchanting charms. Heaven Scent Jacob’s Ladder has earned its common name from the eloquent oval leaflets arranged on its stems like the rungs of a ladder. In ideal conditions, plants will self-seed.
Heaven Scent Jacob Ladder is ideal for a fern’s look, but even better than a fern, you get beautiful flowers, too! It works well in partially shaded areas of perennial borders, scented gardens, naturalized areas, or woodland gardens.
Plant in rich soil in a shady location. It prefers moist soil.
